RADIO SPINNER has a collection of radio transcripts, airchecks and special broadcasts. This is another rare find from Aircheck City. This is an unedited/intact radio recording of Rick Ocasek, lead singer of the band The Cars from the WNEW FM segment called “In The Studio” hosted by Red Beard, recorded as broadcast on 4-2-95. This interview is from 1978 and showcases the Cars' debut album with band members Rick Ocasek, Benjamin Orr, Elliot Easton, Greg Hawkes and David Robinson. Rick talks about how The Cars got started from the beginnings as Milkwood and Cap'n Swing up to the release of the first album by The Cars featuring tracks from the debut album. Airchecks are recorded from radio broadcasts as it happened as a piece of documented music history. Most airchecks are recorded on tape which might have a break in conversation or song due to tape flipping then transferred to Compact Disc. No artwork or jewel cases are included, pictures are for illustration only, CD's are labeled and enclosed in a plain white envelope, they are shipped in a protective bubble pack shipping envelope.
