RADIO SPINNER has a collection of radio transcripts, airchecks and special broadcasts. This is another rare find from Aircheck City. This is an unscoped, unedited recording of The Stray Cats from July 1982. They are interviewed by WLIR's personality Larry The Duck. This interview takes place shortly after the Stray Cats return to the United States from being discovered in England by Dave Edmunds. All three members of the Stray Cats are in the studio, Brian Setzer, Slim Jim Phantom and Lee Rocker, they talk about how they got started, life on Long Island and working with Dave Edmunds and opening and meeting The Rolling Stones. Songs played during this interview from the Stray Cats vinyl LP are: Rumble In Brighton/Rev It Up And Go/Rock This Town/Runaway Boys/Stray Cat Strut/Wasn't That Good/Shake It Tonight/What's Goin' Down (cross that bridge). A nice piece of Stray Cats history. Airchecks are recorded from radio broadcasts as it happened as a piece of documented music history. Most airchecks are recorded on tape which might have a break in conversation or song due to tape flipping then transferred to Compact Disc. No artwork or jewel cases are included, pictures are for illustration only, CD's are labeled and enclosed in a plain white envelope, they are shipped in a protective bubble pack shipping envelope.
